Forging a New Creator Ecosystem with Brilliantcrypto
A short interview with Paula Sello, a co-founder of AUROBOROS, that contributed to the creation of “The First Collection” of digital jewelry

As you already know, in February we released the very first collection of digital jewelry, created by professional designers, and now we are working on the launch of the Jewelry Workshop that will allow ordinary users to create their own jewelry pieces and turn them into NFTs.
We believe that the Workshop will become a new enjoyable feature for our players and that they will be able to reveal their artistic potential creating NFT items, but also, we hope that the Workshop will come in handy for digital fashion enthusiasts and professionals that would like to try themselves in a new field.
Digital fashion is a new developing field attracting attention from both the traditional fashion sector and tech enthusiasts, and while working on “The First Collection”, we engaged with digital fashion creators, who are pioneering the industry.
In this short note we would like to share with you some of the designers’ insights on working with Brilliantcrypto and their expectation for the future of digital jewelry crafting.
It became a great honor for us to work together with one of the trailblazers of fashion in the digital space; the AUROBOROS brand, who created a magnificent Serpent Coil necklace representing the digital brand’s philosophy and aspiration.
The Co-Founder and Creative Director of AUROBOROS, Paula Sello, joined Brilliantcrypto at the NFT Paris exhibition and shared her views on the digital jewelry craftsmanship:
-What do you think of the concept of digital jewelry and its future?
Paula Sello: I think jewelry has always been a status symbol and obviously, as we merge with technology in various ways, in the future status symbols will be digitalized as well. So I think it makes sense that digital jewelry will inherit such value.
Also, in the traditional industry there is a raw material background — as a creator, you are playing with materials to put pieces together.
In the digital space, Brilliantcrypto is creating a new ecosystem of craftsmanship and giving it to people, so I see a big future for this.
-What motivated you to join Brilliantcrypto in the project to create the first collection of digital jewelry?
Paula Sello: I think Brilliantcrypto’s approach to our work was so genuine and lovely with such an appreciation for digital narrative and culture. And I loved the fact that the game was built around collecting raw materials and gemstones and developing these materials into jewelry. There is a real craftsmanship attitude in this game and I think that it is what we have always been about and we are interested in accelerating it in the digital space.
-What was your inspiration behind the Serpent Coil?
Paula Sello: The Serpent Coil, I think is so much truth to our name — our brand name is AUROBOROS, which represent ancient alchemical symbol of a snake biting its own tail. Its a symbol of reinvention, one of the oldest symbols of innovation that is found all across the globe, and it’s a beautiful symbol that ties the future to the past, and we believe in both — heritage and future legacy. What’s more, this year is actually the year of the snake, so as you can see it’s all connected.
